Bonnyton Thistle FFIT produced a magnificent response on Match Day 2 of the WFA Premier League, securing an emphatic 5–2 home victory against Clyde Apollo FFIT on Sunday 23rd August 2026.

From the opening whistle, Thistle set an electric tempo with sharp passing and relentless pressing. The attacking firepower was on full display as the lads dismantled the Clyde Apollo backline with clinical finishing.

Peter McClurg (Ped) bagged a fantastic brace, while Patrick Devine (Paddy) struck to keep the momentum rolling. Mark Kilpatrick (Ginger) put in a sensational display, netting two goals of his own and earning the Man of the Match award for his tireless attacking leadership.

The 5–2 victory gets Bonnyton Thistle firmly on track in the Premier League table as momentum builds toward our upcoming home clash with Camelon Juniors on Sunday 20th September!

Bonnyton Thistle FFIT kicked off their 2026/27 Warriors Football Association Premier League campaign on Sunday 9th August with a tough opening test at home against Rangers FFIT.

In a high-intensity opener, Rangers showed their clinical edge in the final third. Despite the 1–5 scoreline, the Bonnyton lads showed tremendous grit, battling for every ball across all 90 minutes and creating several promising opportunities.

A standout performance came from Kelvin Parris, who was rightfully awarded Man of the Match for his relentless work rate and commanding presence throughout the encounter.

While the result was not what the team aimed for, the squad took valuable lessons from the opener, quickly regrouping and refocusing for Match Day 2.

Looking back to where we started as EA FFIT, our journey began with just a handful of dedicated players and without official team kits. Through incredible hard work, team spirit, and continuous support from our community, sponsors, and supporters, we have grown into a competitive and thriving club.

This rebranding reflects our continued growth, our proud partnership with Bonnyton Thistle, and our ongoing mission: promoting mental health, physical fitness, and wellbeing through the sport we love.
